As always I am grateful to everyone who worked on and who made this shoot happen and of course it’s always a great pleasure to shoot for Mr Porter.

This seemingly random pattern was exactly that. My work and compositions are usually tightly controlled this was a day of letting gravity and chance be my master.

This brief was to illustrate the forward-thinking

This brief was to illustrate the forward-thinking #design and innovative use of #sustainablematerials used in #Mazda interiors. This material is cork, we had a small sample probably no bigger than 15cm square to create an #abstractlandscape made up of texture and light. I hope some music for your January eyes.

It’s about 2 years until spring - A fair amount

It’s about 2 years until spring - A fair amount of time has elapsed since I shot this series for #Mazda. The images were to demonstrate the luxury and durability of the sustainable materials used in Mazda interiors. This is Mazda’s faux leather. Using samples of only 15cm square and employing the sort of dedication that Roy Castle used to sing about I think we created some interesting textures. Very grateful for the commission and of course a huge thank you to everyone involved in making these images.
